ABC Kids Early Education

I developed a series of illustrations for ABC Kids Early Education to represent key curriculum areas in a way that is age appropriate, inclusive, and pedagogically aligned.

The work was grounded in early years education principles, using simple visual language, clear symbolism, and warm, approachable character design to support understanding and engagement for young learners.

Curriculum Area Illustrations

Each illustration was carefully designed to help educators quickly identify curriculum areas (Creativity and Self-expression, Family, Community and Culture, Health and Wellbeing, Language and Literacy, STEM, and Sustainability and Nature) and structure education materials within each category.

Resource Materials

Curriculum areas are portals to ABC Early Education resource materials. I worked closely with with ABC Early Education to design downloadable work sheets, ensuring design was age appropriate, accessible and on brand for ABC Kids.

ABC Kids Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a disaster resilience curriculum planning tool kit for early childhood educators to help young children and their families prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters.

I worked with the Early Learning team to develop illustrations to aid in navigation of the toolkit. The illustrations were representing potentially stressful situations for children so it was important they were tonally light.

Information design

In addition to creating icons and illustrations, I worked closely with the ABC Early Education team to structure curriculum aligned content across the website and ABC Kids app, ensuring clear navigation and easy access to frameworks and supporting resources.
